Nehemiah 8:10

Be thankful, rejoice, and share the joy…

Joy is one of the fruits of the spirit. We are suppose to have it at all times to be one with Christ. 

There is a huge difference between joy and happiness. The world has taught us that they are the same, But the Lord wants us to know they are different. Happiness comes from circumstances. Something makes you happy. Joy comes from God despite your circumstances.

Some scriptures that drive this message:

Psalm 18:39 ( Be joyful in the battle)

Matthew 5:11-12 (God blesses you when people are laughing at you, when they are lying about you. Have joy, because God will reward you)

Psalm 103:1-5 (Let all that I am, praise Him….When I am sick, praise him, when I am tired, praise him…when I am lonely, praise him…why…because the reward comes AFTER I make it through…they is joy in that knowledge)

John 16:24 ( Ask and you shall receive)

1 John 5:14 (He hears us: our prayers. Rejoice even though you haven’t seen it yet. Have joy for what you want even though you do not have it yet)

Roman 4:20-21 Abraham did not consider his own body when wanting a child even though he was 100+ years old, he did not look to his own will for what he wanted…he was strong in his faith)

Act like you believe God’s word by rejoicing his word. To say AMEN means ” shall it be done”

Habikkak 3:17 ( He didn’t look at the fact that he had not food growing in his fields or herds or flocks on his land. He rejoiced in God, because he knew the day would come when he did. God was his salvation. “Even though, yet I will”

Psalm 23 (….The Lord is my shepard….he leads me to peaceful waters….he prepares a table in the views of my enemies…so they can see my prosperity)

Don’t start rejoicing once you get to the table. Rejoice as you walk through your troubles, as you walk through the valley of death…rejoice in knowing you will not die in the valley…for there is a table with your name on it that will be in view of your enemies….

Roman 8:28 (He makes ALL things [good and bad] work together for the good for you.

Keep the promises he has given you forward so that you may have joy everyday!

People who know me know I am passive aggressive most of the time. My uncle is really starting to piss me off! Sir I am renting your house. You don’t live here! How the fuck you tell me how to hang my clothes up in my closet and when you come over you better not see my clothes just thrown in the closet. Why the hell are u in my room anyway. Get out! You kicked me out of my granddad’s house less than a hour ago, don’t help me move a bitch ass thing, I haven’t seen u in 3 days, and u come over here to tell me how my room should look and i need to grow up. So I am not an adult because I leave a shirt on my bed?! Sir the reason why my clothes did not get hung over at grand dad’s house is because there were not hangers, or space to! I have lived out of a tote for the last month and a half, and you tell me that I need to grow up because I didn’t hang my clothes up over there….BITCH!
