The Uninteresting Life of.....

If you fail under pressure,

your strength is too small. Rescue those who are unjustly sentenced to die;

Don’t wear yourself out trying to get rich.

Be wise enough to know when to quit. In the blink of an eye wealth disappears,

for it will sprout wings

and fly away like an eagle. Don’t waste your breath on fools,

listen carefully to words of knowledge. Don’t fail to discipline your children.

They won’t die if you spank them. My child, if your heart is wise,

my own heart will rejoice! Everything in me will celebrate

when you speak what is right. O my son, give me your heart.

Choose a good reputation over great riches;

being held in high esteem is better than silver or gold. The rich and poor have this in common:

The Lord made them both. True humility and fear of the Lord lead to riches, honor, and long life. Whoever loves a pure heart and gracious speech

Showing or feeling no emotion, enthusiasm, or concern.

This will be the best way to describe my mood right now.

People may be right in their own eyes,

but the Lord examines their heart. Haughty eyes, a proud heart,

and evil actions are all sin. Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity,

but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty. It’s better to live alone in the corner of an attic

than with a quarrelsome wife in a lovely home. Those who shut their ears to the cries of the poor

will be ignored in their own time of need. The person who strays from common sense

will end up in the company of the dead. Watch your tongue and keep your mouth shut,

and you will stay out of trouble. Some people are always greedy for more,

Many will say they are loyal friends,

but who can find one who is truly reliable? The godly walk with integrity;

blessed are their children who follow them. False weights and unequal measures—

the Lord detests double standards of every kind. Ears to hear and eyes to see—

both are gifts from the Lord. If you love sleep, you will end in poverty.

Keep your eyes open, and there will be plenty to eat! The buyer haggles over the price, saying, “It’s worthless,”

then brags about getting a bargain! The Lord directs our steps,
